FRIDAY 2 AND SATURDAY 3 JUNE IN VALLECROSIA

Everything is ready for the fifth edition of WINEAROUND IN RIVIERA, scheduled forFriday 2 and Saturday 3 June from 6:00 pm to 12:00 am, in the gardens of Casa Valdese in Vallecrosia (IM).

The event – organized by the Municipality of Vallecrosia and the Cultural Association FoodAround in collaboration with the Vinibuoni d’Italia guide published by the Italian Touring Club and the Il Borgo Antico Association – will feature the presence of 400 wine labels for tasting, with wines from all over Italy, craft beers, and apple cider, accompanied by a rich menu of Ligurian and Piedmontese culinary proposals.

WINE TASTINGS
A journey into the Italian wine production, from Val d’Aosta to Sicily, with two areas curated by the Vinibuoni d’Italia guide, one dedicated to Italian sparkling wines and the other to wines made from native grape varieties.

The selections of the guide are joined by the 9 participating wineries: Beiva Winery, Cantina Gnavi, I Brè, Luigi Drocco, Marello and Viglione Antonio from Piedmont, Cascina Nirasca from Liguria, Sartieri 1931 from Lombardy, and Deganutti from Friuli Venezia Giulia.

There are many gems not to be missed, coming from small realities or rare grape varieties, alongside the flagships of Italian viticulture known worldwide, from Barolo to Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, from Amarone to Aglianico, from Brunello to Nero d’Avola, from Lugana to Falanghina, from Friulano to Verdicchio.

CRAFT BEERS AND CIDER
My Personal Beer Corner
takes care of a selection of craft beers, available for tasting on a rotating basis during the two evenings, from breweries such as Sagrin, Elvo, Testadariete (Right Beer and Edit Brewing), The Wall, Zona Mosto, Piccolo Birrificio Clandestino, and Altotevere.
A novelty of this edition is the Piedmontese apple cider Lord Xiros.

GUIDED TASTINGS
Two not-to-be-missed moments are scheduled for those who want to deepen their knowledge of intersecting worlds: wine, craft beer, cider, and spirits.

When Beer Meets Grapes – The Muscat
Friday, June 2 – 6:30
p.m.
Tasting in collaboration with the Italian Grape Ale Project.
Two worlds, craft beer and wine, coming together, linked by one of the most popular grape varieties, Moscato. Tasting Samos, Italian Grape Ale from Sagrin Brewery, with Asti Spumante Docg in dry and sweet versions,
paired with Grana Padano DOP 12 months and Salame Levoni.

Lord Xiros Cider and Mixology
SATURDAY, June 3 – 6:30
p.m.
Tasting to discover Lord Xiros Apple Cider, with the participation of producer Alberto Gastaldi, in collaboration with the new guide Spirito Autoctono, published by the Italian Touring Club and dedicated to spirits from native botanicals.
Cider and a Bitter and Cider-based blend, paired with 12-month Grana Padano DOP and Levoni Herb Lard, will be on tasting.

GASTRONOMY AND CATERING
Local specialties for tasting and sale, with DECOs from the Gibelli Biscuit Factory, and a rich catering menu dedicated to traditional local dishes to be paired with the wines, beers and cider being tasted, with seafood offerings by chef Federico Lantieri of theOsteria Martini of Pigna and Luciana & Sergio of Vallecrosia, Piedmontese PDO cold cuts and cheeses, and the Fassona burger from Stragood, concluding with pastry Dulcis in Fundo Vallecrosia.

A FAMILY-FRIENDLY FESTIVAL
Space for the little ones too, who will be able to unleash their creativity in the area dedicated to them, with a healthy snack of organic fruit in collaboration with Gullino Fruits.
