Cervo Festival

What to do

Cervo is one of those towns where culture is breathed in. The beauty of its small streets, the peace, the splendid view to be enjoyed ensure it is one of the most beloved historical towns for those who make art their raison d’etre. Cervo stands for the “Chamber music festival”. Major Italian and foreign talents have been gathering together in July and August for 53 years to donate musical exhibitions to tourists and residents in an enchanted atmosphere. During these evenings time seems to stop and the wonderful notes by great performers can be heard throughout the carrugi (small streets). This year the appointment is from Saturday 16 July until Wednesday 31 August and the schedule is unique. The location is the central and beautiful Piazza Corallina and the Oratorio of Santa Caterina.

The programme begins with a duet with Monica Cattarossi at the piano and Enrico Dindo at the ‘cello with pieces from Schumann and Brahms.

The closing date is on Wednesday 31st August with the Cervo summer Academy Maestros, who will delight the audience with music by Beethoven and Brahms.
