Pigna is well-known for its spa, the most famous and renowned in Liguria, with its beneficial sulphurous waters that are rich in minerals and possess therapeutic properties.
Pigna is located at the foot of the Parco Naturale Regionale delle Alpi Liguri (Alpi Liguri Natural Regional Park) and looks across towards both France and Piedmont.
Its roads are tight and narrow, running between the Loggia della Piazza Vecchia, providing a panoramic view across the valley, and the church of San Michele, with its Renaissance polyptych by Giovanni Canavesio.
Together with Badalucco and Conio, Pigna’s superior quality white bean is protected by the Slow Food movement.
