Vallecrosia

Known as a tourist town, Vallecrosia is developed on two urban centres.

Vallecrosia Alta, the ancient heart is far from the coast and is a medieval village rich in greenery and embellished with ancient churches, Saracen towers and tower-houses attesting a medieval past. The modern city extends along the seaside, a tourist and beach resort with many pebbly beaches and a coastal promenade.

Vallecrosia is home to the original Italian song and sound reproduction museum, a private museum created by Erio Tripodi, and arranged with hundreds of instruments, manuscripts, scores, and objects inside a steam locomotive dated 1920 and some carriages. Many events take place on the seaside in summer.
