A pearl on the Gulf of Diano, San Bartolomeo is known for its beautiful beaches, equipped with every comfort and winner of the Blue Flag many times. It is a quiet place suited for pleasant family holidays: plenty shops and dining places and many accommodation facilities of all types.
For lovers of history, the town preserves an ancient Roman ruin involved by archaeological excavations and a medieval nucleus with the imposing Church of San Bartolomeo, dating back to the Thirteenth century, and the Sanctuary della Rovere where one of the oldest events of west Liguria, the “Fiera della Rovere”, is held during the “Giorni della Merla” (the Days of the Blackbirds, traditionally the coldest days of winter) each year.
